Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 2026. Please read these terms carefully before booking a private guided experience with Authentic Tours San Miguel de Allende.

Currency & Payment Processing

All tours are priced in Mexican Pesos (MXN). For international cards, payments are securely processed through Stripe. Your bank will convert the amount to your local currency (USD/CAD/EUR) at the prevailing exchange rate on the date of purchase.

1. Reservations & Payments

Deposit: A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking to reserve and guarantee the date and time of your experience.
Balance Settlement: The remaining 50% balance must be paid at least 24 hours prior to the tour start time or in cash at the beginning of the tour directly to the guide.
Currencies & Payment Methods: All prices are set in MXN and processed via Stripe, PayPal, or wire transfer.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policies

Cancellation with 48+ hours notice: 100% deposit refund, minus credit card processing gateway fees.
Cancellation with under 24–48 hours notice: The deposit is non-refundable due to reserved guide availability and pre-booked local arrangements.
No-Show Policy: A booking is considered a "No-Show" if guests do not arrive within 15 to 20 minutes of the scheduled start time. No refund or rescheduling applies.
Force Majeure / Weather Cancellations: If a tour is canceled due to severe weather or unforeseen emergency conditions, guests will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

3. Punctuality & Itinerary Adjustments

Meeting Point: Walking tours begin promptly at the agreed-upon location (e.g. Jardín Principal, hotel lobby, or landmark).
Minor Adjustments: Itineraries may undergo minor real-time adjustments due to street closures, historic building maintenance, or civic events beyond our control.

4. Health, Safety & Liability Disclaimer

Physical Condition & Terrain: The historic center of San Miguel de Allende features cobblestone streets and inclines. Participants are responsible for wearing comfortable footwear and assessing their walking ability.
Dietary Restrictions & Allergies: For tours including tastings or beverages, guests must notify us of any allergies at least 24 hours prior to the tour.
Limitation of Liability: Authentic Tours and certified guides are not liable for personal property loss/damage, nor for injuries arising from participant negligence or failure to follow safety guidelines.

5. Media & Photo Usage

During tours, occasional photos or short videos may be taken for promotional use on social media or our official website. If you prefer not to be photographed, please inform your guide prior to starting the tour.
